Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 August 2026

CognitiveAISEO (“we”, “us”) provides search engine optimization and AI search visibility services. This policy explains what personal information we collect through cognitiveaiseo.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

If you have any question about this policy or want to exercise a right described below, email marvin@cognitiveaiseo.com. We answer every request.

Information you give us

The only place this site asks for personal information is the contact form. When you submit it we receive your name, your email address, and anything you choose to write in the message field.

We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver the work you’ve asked for. We do not add you to a marketing list because you filled in the form. If we ever want to email you something you didn’t ask for, we’ll ask first.

You can also reach us directly by email. If you do, we hold that correspondence in our email system for as long as it’s useful to the working relationship.

Information collected automatically

Our website host records standard server logs when a page is requested — IP address, browser type, referring page, and the time of the request. This happens on essentially every website and is used to keep the site running and secure.

Cookies

This site uses only the cookies needed to make it work and to measure aggregate traffic. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not run retargeting pixels, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Who else handles your data

We keep the list of companies that touch your data deliberately short. Framer hosts this website and delivers contact form submissions to our inbox. Google Workspace is our email, so anything you send us lives there.

Both are established providers with their own published privacy commitments, and both may process and store data on servers outside the country you live in. We don’t sell your data to anyone, we don’t share it with advertisers, and we don’t trade it. We have never done so and have no plans to.

We will disclose information if we’re legally required to — for example in response to a valid legal request — and we’ll tell you if we’re permitted to.

How long we keep things

Contact form submissions and email correspondence are kept for as long as there’s a reason to keep them: an active conversation, an ongoing engagement, or a legal or accounting obligation. When there’s no longer a reason, we delete them. If you want your enquiry deleted sooner, email us and we’ll do it.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it if it’s wrong, or delete it. Email marvin@cognitiveaiseo.com. We won’t treat you differently for asking.

If you’re in California, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there’s nothing for you to opt out of — but the right exists and we’re telling you about it.

If you’re in Canada, PIPEDA gives you the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to challenge its accuracy.

If you’re in the UK or the European Economic Area, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection under the UK GDPR and GDPR. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. You can also complain to your national data protection authority.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no industry-agreed standard for how sites should respond to it, so like most websites we do not currently respond to those signals. We disclose this because California law requires us to.

Children

This site is meant for businesses, not children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we’ll delete it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold — reputable providers, access limited to those who need it, and accounts protected appropriately. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and nobody can promise otherwise. We won’t pretend to.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged clearly rather than slipped in quietly.
